Merry Market is November 5th, 6th and 7th!

Whew…I have been busy, busy, busy. Back in July, I was contacted to be a vendor at the Fredericksburg Area Service League’s annual boutique craft show. I was so excited and decided to jump in, feet first, to my very first craft show. Now, two weeks out, I am diligently working on all kinds of fun projects to present at the fair!
First, a little about the fair….on the Market’s facebook page (just search for Merry Market and look for the little green gift), they have been previewing the vendors. I tell you there will be some amazing artists involved in this event. Screenprinters, potters, fine artists…you name it, I promise there will not be a better Christmas shopping experience and I’m just pleased as pie to be involved.

Of course, Sweet March will have the dolls….40 of them! I wanted to make each one different and special so there is an array of characters unlike any I’ve done before. There are Superheroes, Sugar Plum Fairies, Mermaids, Flappers, 50’s girls, Pearl Girls and for the first time, Cheerleaders. Fingers crossed shoppers love them as much as I loved working on them. Please pardon the crude pictures...I've been so busy creating that I haven't had time to take proper photos!

So I figured one cannot have a booth on dolls alone so Sweet March branched out. I’m really excited about the little ornaments/gift tags I’ve made. While they’re just something extra, the sweet shape and fun colors make these such a great addition to any perfectly wrapped package. They aren’t quite done yet, but I’m getting there.

Next, I’m completely thrilled about my fun cocktail rings! These cute little accessories are meant for a holiday party or night out and I have soooo many colors to choose from. This was one of those projects I came up with while watching Project Runway. Peach was wearing this great ring with a giant turquoise stone and I thought, wouldn’t it be fun to create something similar, only out of fabric? It was....thanks to findings from Beadazzled in Tyson's Corner, they are fabulous (and a perfect stocking stuffer).

In addition to these projects, I’m also going to have flower brooches that will dress up any cardigan, tote or napkin ring. Also, toss pillows perfect for a brightly colored kid’s room, wristlets and some yummy warm scarflettes. I will share pictures of those soon but come out to the market and see all the Sweet March goodness for yourself!
